Answering Techniques(P2SB)

Definition of terms, concepts, principles or

law. Answer in form of formulae is
accepted if symbols are defined.
For Comparison type of question. State
the similarity and differences between the
given diagram. This can be done by
observing the diagram, all the answer can
be obtained from it.

Answering Techniques(P2SB)

Use diagrams or graphs whenever

necessary to make the points clearer.
Again, Pay attention to given marks. It
usually indicate the min no of answer
required.
For Modification type of question, answer
in table form.

Answering Techniques(P2SB)
Example:
Given two straw.

Diag 9.1

Diag 9.2

Using above diagram, compare the length of the

straw in diagram 9.1 and 9.2..
Straw in diagram 9.2 is longer than straw in diagram 9.1
Straw in diagram 9.1 is shorter than straw in diagram 9.2

Things to Remember

Definition can be represent by symbols but must

explain the symbols.
F = ma
F = Forces (N)
m = mass (kg)
a = acceleration (ms-2)

Things to Remember

Value of acceleration can use as

9.8 ms-2 or 10 ms-2
Graph : Value, Shape of graph and axis.
Final answer must have the correct unit.
Explanation must be precise.
Use diagram if really cannot explain in word!!!

Things to Remember

Graph of oscillation must have at least one cycle.

Correct

Wrong

Answer in diagram and explanation in word is

accepted, however if there are contradiction
between them, NO MARK WILL BE GIVEN!!
For Question on Light topic: Light ray must have solid line, straight and has
arrow.
