Objective: To keep the ball over the net , from con

Volleyball

Rules:
If the ball is hit out-of-bounds, the point is
awarded to the defense.
The game is played until one team earns 15
points with a 2 point advantage.
Players rotate clockwise to serve after each
side-out.
Proper teams are 6 v. 6 with 3 players in the
front row & 3 players in the
back row.
The back row players may not legally enter the
front court attack area to
block or attack the ball over the net.
The player who rotates to the back right
position will serve.

Floor Hockey
Objective: To shoot the ball into the goal.
Skills:
Passing: Sweep, flip, slap, drop.
Shooting: Wrist or backhand shot, backhand
shot.
Strategies:
Stick Handling: the most important skill in
stick handling is the ability to
control the puck on the stick without
looking at it. The puck should be kept
under control midway on the blade of the
stick. The hands are held fairly
close together on the shaft for a greater
range of motion. An integral part
of stick handling is faking and shifting.
Line: an attacking unit comprising of a
center and two forwards.

Touch Football

Objective:
To advance the ball over the opponents goal
line without being tackled
Skills:
Passing: Line fingers up on laces to throw a
spiral to teammate
Tackling: Touching opponent with 2 hands to
end play
Strategies:
Advance ball toward goal line during each
down.
Make a touchdown during the 4 downs.
Tackle opponents & intercept the ball.
Rules:
Kick-off is determined by a coin toss.
A kick-off from the 40 yard line begins game,
after a score, & after half time.

Soccer
Objective: to guard opponents in scoring position
while
maintaining possession of the ball and scoring
between
uprights, below crossbar and past goal line (in
goal).
Skills:
Controlling the ball by: kicking, trapping,
dribbling,
heading, tackling, throwing (when allowed)
Strategies:
The ball may be propelled with any part of the
body
except hands and arms.
Guard opponents; prevent opposition from
scoring.
Defend goal.

Basketball
Objective: to get the ball into the opponents
basket & prevent the other team from securing
possessions of the ball or scoring.
Skills:
Passing: Bounce, chest, or overhead the ball
may also be rolled or handed to another player.
Dribbling: Advance ball down court by
dribbling with finger pads.
Pivoting: Use either foot as a pivot foot after
catching the ball.
Strategies:
Guarding A legal technique used to cover an
opponent. Guarding an opponent in
possession of the ball: Stay between the
opponent and the basket in which they are
shooting.
Take or tap the ball from an opponent.

Basketball

Rules:
Free Throw: An unguarded throw for a
goal given a player to
attempt to score 1 or 2 points from a
position behind the free
throw line.
Throw-In: A method of putting the ball
in play by passing it
into the court from out of bounds.
Traveling: Illegal progression in any
direction while retaining
possession of the ball in bounds.

Softball
Objective: To get on base & score more runs
than
opponent.
Skills:
Catching hit balls & thrown balls from
teammate. (Absorb ball; give with ball).
Fielding ground balls & throwing to
teammate.
Strategies:
Keep your eye on the ball while catching or
batting.
Rules:
The games are 7 Innings long.
Baserunners must touch all bases to score a
run.
Only one runner may be on base at a time.

Ultimate Frisbee
Objective: Score by catching a pass in the
opponents end zone.
Skills:
Throwing: backhand, flick, hammer, thumber,
wrist flip
Strategies:
Change of possession: When a play is not
completed (out of bounds, dropped,
blocked, intercepted), the defense
immediately picks up the disc and becomes
offense.
Rules:
Physical contact is not allowed. If a team
fouls the disc is turned over to the
other team.
