Definitions
Features of Computer
Input and Output Devices

A Computer is a electronic
machine that works according to
instructions given by you.
It can accept data (input), process
data and gives the result.
A person who uses and
communicates with a computer
is called a user.

A Computer is an Electronic Device which

Stores information on discs or magnetic
tape, analyses it and produces information
as required from the data on the tape
etc.__A.S.Hornby
A computer is a power-driven machine
equipped with keyboards,electronic
circuits and recording devices for the high
speed performance of mathematical
operations.___Sampath

SpeedIt can process a large amount of data

very quickly.
QualityThe Computer enables you to create
high- quality documents and drawings.
ReliabilityComputers are reliable and accurate.
Storage CapabilityComputers can store large amount of
data.this storagecapability makes a
computer so important in todays
information age.

are meant for feeding data,
programs,
commands,instructions and user
response into the computer.
Examples of input devices:Keyboard,Pointing Devices,Multimedia
