Enrolled at university college London to


obtain Bachelors degree in Chemistry.
Word War II
In 1947 he obtained bachelors degree
in mathematical statistics.
In 1953, he awarded PhD in the
supervision of Egon Pearson (son of
Karl Pearson).

In 1960, he appointed as professor and


chairman of the statistics department
at university of Wisconsin, Madison.
. In the same university he was
appointed to the Ronald Aylmer Fisher
chair of statistics in 1971.
He retired in 1992 and given the title of
Professor Emeritus.
