The accession of 10 new MS has been


positive for Dutch economy as a whole
EU-Membership is an advantage for EU-Member-States
The EU and especially the internal market has brought
considerable economic advantages, this conclusion is
independent of the empirical method used.
Economic advantages did not only originate in an additional
GNP-increase, but also by liberalization (for instance in air
transport) resulting in competitors and lower prices.
Disadvantages are to be found in an overregulation in the
internal market.
