What is the
Circulatory System?

The Circulatory System

is how good and bad
materials travel through
our bodies.

The Circulatory System removes

carbon dioxide and waste
from our bodies.

&
The Circulatory System
moves food and oxygen to our cells.

Cells use food and oxygen to make

energy, which keeps us alive.

Food, Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, and

Waste is carried throughout our bodies
within a fluid called BLOOD.
Under a microscope, blood
looks like cinnamon candy!

There are 3 types of
blood vessels:

Arteries (red)
Veins (blue)
Capillaries
