How can Basic PEAT be used?


Stuck emotional states / negative feelings: anger, resentment,
anxiety, fear, shame / guilt, hurt, frustration, jealousy, envy, denial,
discontent towards people, events, actions, weather.
Physical Pain: headaches, stomachaches, sprained ankle, toothache,
bruises, sore muscles, PMS cramps, allergies
Addictions / Cravings: Smoking, Food, Drinking, Shopping, Sweets,
Sex
Forgiveness: Not being able to forgive a friend, relative, abuser,
wrongdoer, etc.

How can Basic PEAT be used?


Love Addictions / Crushes / Unrequited Love: Happiness comes
from being loved by someone you care about. Youre doomed to
feelings of emptiness and worthlessnes if youre ever rejected or
alone.
Dating frustrations: He/She did not call me back, It was a bad
date, I so want to call him, but I shouldnt
Break-ups and divorces: Anger, resentment, hatred, blame, shame
and guilt, unforgiveness
Grief, loss of a loved one, loss of a pet

How can Basic PEAT be used?


Irritants, nuisances: Noise, smells, mosquito bites. Not being able to
concentrate when studying for exams because of the noise.
Mornings and Mondays: dont want to get out of bed, dont want to
start the day, dont want to go to work.
Overall clearing of the past: PEAT all traumatic events and people in
your life, depression, regret, failure, nothing is exciting, procrastination
(chronologically, by area of life health, relationships, career, money or by
intensity of experience)
The future: fears about the future events, anxiety, worry, panic job
interview, presentation, conversation with your boss, etc.
Limiting Beliefs: what is the first or strongest event that proves your belief
is true. Process it with PEAT. Check if your belief still holds. Repeat.

How can Basic PEAT be used?


Clearing extremely positive events: winning big award, big achievement, etc
Why? Because you may hold the rest of your life to that standard. And if you
cant repeat the same level of achievement, you may be in a constant state of
failure / underachievement, boredom, dissatisfaction, discontent, self-doubt,
worthlessness, and self-pity.
Installing and intensifying positive states: confidence, peace, acceptance
Goal Achievement: processing limiting beliefs opposing the achievement of a
goal.
Money Blocks: clearing money beliefs everything is getting more expensive,
there is never enough money, etc.
Clearing and opening of chakras: focus on each chakra and do Basic PEAT on
each.

Basic PEAT Process


1. Define your challenge where there is an emotional charge
(Specific event, not a general pattern)
2. Define four elements of experience: snapshot (image), emotion,
thought, body sensations.
3. Rate the intensity of emotions on a scale 0 to 10 (Subjective
Units of Distress)
4. Define a desired outcome (What would you like to experience?
What would you like to feel ideally?: calmness, quiet,
acceptance, pleasant neutrality or indifference, confidence,
forgiveness, love, etc.)

5. Create the Formula for Elimination of Self-Sabotage (FESS):

Even though I feel/experience [challenge], I deeply love and accept


myself, my body, my mind, my personality and the fact that I
feel/experience [challenge].
Or (mini formula)

Even though I still feel/experience [some of / a little bit of the


challenge], I deeply love and accept myself, my body, my mind, my
personality and the fact that I still feel/experience [some of / a little bit
of the challenge ].

Basic PEAT Process


6. Applying the basic peat acupressure point sequence with a deep
inhale and exhale after each point, while focusing on the
experience.
7. Rate the intensity of the experience now. If it is not 0, repeat the
Basic PEAT process from the beginning with a mini formula
until the intensity is 0.
8. Determine a new positive state: calmness, pleasant emptiness,
forgiveness, confidence, love, compassion, etc.
9. Stabilize this new feeling with Basic PEAT or by installing light
and expanding it in all directions.

10.Check for resistance here and now and in the future:
Do I feel any resistance to feeling this way right now?
Do I think or feel that my problem could return in the future,
against my will?

11.Forgiveness

Basic PEAT Process

a. I accept that God/Higher Self/Nature/The Universe has created a


world in which people/I can experience [state your problem].
b. I forgive all humans and other beings for playing their part in my
experience of conflict and confusion around [the problem].
c. I forgive myself for creating and maintaining my experience of
conflict and confusion around [the problem].
