A word family strip is an instructional


aid that helps children to discover
and remember common spelling and
pronunciation pattern in words
Words which have the same ending
pattern are called word families for
example hat , cat . Rat are
members of the at family

Stand sideways as you gesture to the
board in order to give your students
a chance to see what the writing on
the board clearly

your writing is legible
Write in a straight line by writing across a
section of the board ,not across the
whole board , half facing the board and
half facing the class with the arm fully

other side
