Latest Developments in
Aadhaar Scheme

10 Crore Aadhaar Numbers linked to Bank Accounts.


As of 28th October 2014, 70 Crore Aadhaar Cards have
been issued. As on that date 9 states including A.P.,
Delhi, Kerala, H.P. have crossed 90% Aadhaar
coverage.
Over 16 states have crossed 70% coverage.
Newly assigned states of U.P., Uttarakhand, Bihar,
Chhattisgarh with a population of about 34 crore.
26% population covered in the above four mentioned
states ( ~8.93 crore)
Project to link Voter ID card launched on 5 th Feb.,
2015 in Chandigarh.
EPIC Photo ID card will be linked to Aadhaar card.
