expected answer in advance or
scoring rubric.
1. Content
- The information included in an
essay can and should be scored
specifically for its presence and
accuracy.
2. Organization
- Does the essay have an
introduction, body and conclusion.
7. Rating Method
a. Holistic Scoring
- In this type of scoring, a total
score is assigned to each essay
question based on the teacher
general
impression or over-all
assessment.
b. Analytic Scoring
- In this type of scoring, the
essay is scored in terms of its
components.
