Recommendations
It presents the actions that future

researchers should take as a result of

the project. A well-thought out set of
recommendations

makes

it

more

likely that the organization will take

the recommendations seriously.

Recommendations
Ideally, make a formal recommendation

regarding the alternative that is best

supported by the study. Present and
discuss the kinds of additional research
suggested by the project. If the preferred
alternative

is

implemented,

what

additional research might be needed?

Guidelines in Writing Conclusions

The

use

of

qualifiers

such

as,

probably, perhaps, maybe should be

avoided.
It

should be explicit and definite,

leaving merely implied giving the

researcher a bit of doubt.

It should not be repetitions of any

statements anywhere in the research,

thesis or dissertation.

Guidelines in Writing Conclusions

Answers the following questions:
(1) Did any of the alternatives make a
difference, helped solve the problem, or
improved the situation? (2)What are the
long-term as well as the short-term
implications of the findings? (3) How do the
findings relate to those of other
researchers cited in theLiterature Review?

Guidelines in Writing Recommendations

First, it must be logical, specific,

attainable and relevant.

Second, it should be addressed to

persons, organizations, or agencies

directly concerned with the issues or
to those who can immediately
implement the recommended

Guidelines in Writing Recommendations

Third, present another topic which is

very relevant to the present study that

can be further investigated by future
researchers. But never recommend
anything that is not part of the study
or not being mentioned in your
findings.
