LITERATURE SURVEY
The green revolution brought a change in the country and farmers
started using atomised equipment and chemical fertilizers for
improved production of various agricultural products. This was even
applied in case of areca nut, formers started using pump and various
pesticides to protect the areca nut from fruit rot disease.
The use of spraying technique for areca nut has developed with
and can be recognised as,
1. Conventional method
2. Bamboo pole method

DESCRIPTION
1. Climber unit:
The driving system is of just four roller wheels
which is driven by the motor. The whole system is
fitted into a square shaped frame. The frame is so
shaped because it is easy to mount the motor on it.
2. Spraying unit:
The robotic arm is used to spray the pesticides on
to the bunch of areca nuts. Using this arm, nearby
trees are also being sprayed.
The robotic arm is controlled by remote controller.
3. Pump:
The pump is used to pump the pesticide from
ground level to nozzle.

CONCLUSION
It was intended to create a system that would climb any
areca nut tree in any conditions. An attempt was made to
create a unit that would run on electricity. The use of motor and
robotic arm reduces the man power and it is also a safe
method. Any person can operate this equipment without any
difficulty and it can be used at any time and in any season.
So, it can be concluded that the motorized areca nut tree
climber and sprayer is safe, reliable, efficient and reduces the
problem of labour scarcity.
