Production Companies- SB Projects and Bieber Time Films
ii. The record label is Def Jam
iii. I think the target audience for this music video would be teenagers or
young adults, the reason for this is because the song would be more
appealing to younger ears. Also the video involves a form of violence
which is not appropriate for children.
iv. The narrative of the video is of a couple who are in love with each other
but are separated when the woman is taken away from him. The boy then
gets beaten up and struggles to breath because she's not with her.
vi. There are a few props situated around the room to fit the scenario and
video. The acting is very convincing as well as the make up and clothes,
the clothes are ragged and worn out which fits the story pretty well.
vii. I think the special effects and story line makes it successful. Also the
Director and production company is very well known to people which
encourages others to watch the video.
V- Cinematography
In this scene the camera is
angled at the same level as the
main character in this music
video. The lighting it very brightly
lit in the dark room which makes
the main features stand out. The
camera looks like it has been set
on the ground to capture a
medium shot and to capture
from a good low eye level.
Adele- Hello
i. Artist- Adele, Director- Xavier Dolan, Producers- Nancy Grant/Xavier Dolan,
V- Cinematography
This shot is focused on the window sill and has
the sepia effect making the scene look green
and giving it an edge. Also it shows this setting
from a different point of view showing that
anything can be seen differently from a different
perspective.
In this shot the setting is outside but it has
been taken from the window and focused so
that only the outside can be viewed clearly.
The effect is still sepia and it stays that way
throughout the whole music video. This scene
shows that if you look closer you can see
better and more important things.
This is an extreme close up of Adele showing her
facial expressions and features in the Sepia effect
making the music video look vintage and
emotional. The effect also makes this music video
look sad and sorrowful.
Ed Sheeran- Photograph
i. Artist- Ed Sheeran, Producers- Jake Gosling, Charlie Hugall, Director- Emil
V- Cinematography
This is an extreme close up of a baby version of Ed
Sheeran. This is part of this music video and has a
great effect because it shows details of his facial
features and expressions. This shot is also taken from
the side which gives it extra and clear lighting for the
audience.
This scene is an establishing shot showing the setting
and the area this part has been taken. It gives the
audience an idea of the setting and why it was taken
there. The camera angle is a low angle showing the hills
at the top and making them look high and important.
The camera is canted slightly giving a sense of
disorientation.
An over the shoulder shot is taken in this scene
showing the stage and the crowd as well. The camera is
angled at a low angle to show the stage and important
people on the stage one of which is Ed Sheeran
performing. The camera tilts up and down giving the
audience an overall view.
