Abstract_
Much of this the detachment comes from an absence of control
techniques that can deal directly with the actual manufacturing process,
a material transformation process that produces a desired object both in
the term of specific geometry and internal propertis. Instead, most efforis
have focused on using exiting methods on process independent
problems, such as position control and trajectory following or on staight
forward process parameter control, thereby only indirectly influencing
the actual process output

The output from any manufacturing process are by definition the
geometry and properties of the product.
The input is that set of machine variable that have a clear and
diterministic causal effect on the output.
The input output relationship is parameterized by the characteristics of
the workpiece material
The working enironment or boundaries
The basic characteristic of the machine in use

The time constant represents either the process dynamic or the cycle time
of the process for completion of single product. The measurement delay is
used to delineate various forms of process control

All processes are subject to some type of feed back control, either
automatic or human operated and even no control involve feedback in the
form of costumer complaints or waranty recall

Multivariable output, nonlinear, highly coupled process must be dealt


with.

Use adaptive parameter.

Use of control weighting factor. prevented attempting zero error,


smoothed response(no large bandwidth penalty)

Self-tuning control with pole-placement(wittenmark)account nonlinear


behavior and stable.

Use rapid oscillation of the welding torch along or transverse to the line
of travel. rejection of realistic disturbance, enhance productive
performance.

Involve the distribution of a controlled heat flux into the weldment.
