Corruption is an age-old phenomenon.
The word corruption means destruction, ruining or
spoiling a society or nation.

Corruption is widespread in India.
In 2014 India ranked 85th out of 174 countries
in Transparency International's
Corruption Perceptions Index.
In India found that more than 54% of Indians
had firsthand experience of paying bribes to
successfully get jobs done in public offices.

parliament members were accused of crime.
Scandals involved high level government officials,
including Cabinet Ministers and Chief Ministers across the
country.

with non-availability/duplication of medicines, getting
admission, consultations with doctors and availing
diagnostic services.

CONCLUSION
Corruption is an intractable problem. It is like
diabetes, can only be controlled, but not totally
eliminated. It may not be possible to root out
corruption completely at all levels but it is
possible to contain it within tolerable limits.
