Fixed Network Curriculum

Development Section

Introduction
Before

configuring the data, you should first have

some knowledge about the networking and user

requirements, and collect the basic information
required by data configuration.
The

configuration should follow the basic sequence

and configuration requirement.

This

course mainly introduces the basic procedures,

configuration method, basic configuration principles,

and hardware and interface configuration.

Configuration Overview
The

data configuration of UMG8900 is mainly completed

through the MML command.

LMT client software mainly completes the configuration management

and maintenance of system.

Before

performing data configuration, firstly collect the

detailed networking information .

Logical board and Physical board

Logical

Board:

It means the boards are classified and named based on the functions.
Board type is corresponding to the logical board.

Physical

Board:

It finally reflects the distinction in software/hardware configuration of

board.

Hardware type is corresponding to the physical board.

For Example :OMU is loglic Board name;FOMU is Physical Board name.

Frame Configuration Command

Add a central switch frame:

ADD FRM: FN=1, FT=CONTROL;

Confidential

Principle for Board Configuration

In

the main control frame, the FOMU, FNET and FCLK

boards have been added by default.

FOMU is inserted in the front slot 7 and slot 8 in the main

control frame (plug-in frame 1), FCLK is in the back slot 0 and 1
(plug-in frame 1). FOMU/FMPU and FNET must be inserted
front and back opposite each other.

Front-inserted

boards : FOMU, FMPU, FFLU, FCMF, FVPU,

FSPF and FHRU.

Back-inserted

and FNET.

Confidential

boards : FTNU, TCLU, FCLK, FBLU, FCMB

Principle for Board Configuration

All

the interface boards can be inserted in any back slots except

slot 6, 7, 8 and 9 (Only FCLK can be inserted in the back slot 0

and 1 of main control frame):

FG1O, FE8T, FP4L, A4LM/A/B/C, FA4L, E32 and S2L/A/B/C.

Some

boards have strict front-back opposite plug-in requirement.

The boards with front-back plug-in requirement include:

FFLU (front) and FBLU (back),

FHRU (front) and FG1O and E1GM/A/B/C, FA4L, FBAP, FBFE, FBGE, FE8T
(Back),

FMPU/FOMU (front) and FNET (back).

SSM: Synchronous Status Message

SSM,

namely the synchronous status message, and is also

called synchronous quality information.

SSM

is used to reflect the level of synchronous timing signal

directly in synchronous timing transmission link.

For the line clock source, SSM is extracted by the line interface
board and reported to FOMU, and then FOMU configures the
SSM of line clock source to clock module.

If the external synchronous reference source of clock module is

2048kbit/s signal, the clock module can extract SSM from signal.

For GPS reference source, FOMU does not set the SSM level
and its level is PRC constantly.
