rule
Requires that all importers and carriers provide
a copy of the manifest of an ocean shipment
bound for the United states including shipment
that were just transiting trough U.S. port, 24
hours before that shipment was loaded.
Importer Security Filling (10+2 Rule)
Importer is responsible for the timely, accurate,
and complete submission of the 10 data
elements in the ISF. The steamship line is
responsible for the +2 container tracking
reports.
Customs will be comparing the ISF to the entry
data to analyze and assess risk and to validate
the ISF data.
