Mixer is a mechanical device

used to mix the dough
material normally used for
making cakes.

MIXER

In 1908, an engineer named

Herbert Johnson, who worked
at the Hobart Manufacturing
Company creates an electric
stand mixer. Inspiration
comes after he watched a
bread dough is stirred using a
metal spoon, then he started
trying to make the mixer,
assisted by fellow mechanics.

HISTORY

1908 Ir. Herbert Johnson creates a

stand mixer for mixing bread dough
1915 Hobart Mfg Company of Troy,
Ohio sells professional mixer with a
capacity of 80 liters
1919 Hobart (now called KitchenAid)
sells "food preparer" (stand mixer) for
home

1930 Sunbeam Mixmaster

introduce and sell KitchenAid at
a cheaper price
1936 Egmont Ahrens designers
to reduce the size KitchenAid
mixer becomes lighter
1952 Sunbeam Mixmaster
issued the first handheld.

1. To mix the dough we want to make,Mixer

its saving our time and easy to use.

Function

2. Make the dough is smooth. So the cake that

produced fit in with what we wanted

Mixer Body

This
is
the
most
important part, this
part has a motor that
drives the mixer. In
this section are usually
equipped with speed
control button. Theres
also the type of mixer
equipped with a selftimer button.

Part of Mixer

Mixer Bowl
Mixer Bowl is a place of
stirring the ingredients to be
mixed. Usually made of
stainless steel and strong
structure. Some Mixers made
by plastic or polymer.

Balloon Whisk
Balloon whisk is a type of
mixer that is shaped like a hot
air balloon from the wire. This
stirrer type normally used for
kneading the dough liquid
such as cake batter (sponge
cake batter) or butter cream
and produce a light batter.

Flat Beater
This type of mixer used to
knead the dough cookies or
cake solid (pound cake). By
using this type of agitator,
not a lot of air that is trapped
but produces dough evenly.

Dough Hook
Dough hook used when going
to knead the dough is very
sticky, for example, is a bread
dough. By using this type of
mixer, the dough will easily
become dull and the dough
was perfect.

HOW TO USE
THE MIXER

Make sure the voltage / Voltage required

Mixer in accordance with the voltage / mains
voltage, for example in Indonesia using a
power supply voltage of 220 volts then when
we buy a mixer to be the voltage of 220
volts.
Enter the player batter into the hole / places
available at the bottom of the appliance.

3. Prepare the dough will be mixed

and then insert the player into the
batter.
4. Enter your mixer electrical
connecting cable into a wall outlet
and then turn on the mixer by
moving the position of the motor
speed selector switch to position 1 or
2.

5. When the round it is still too

slow mixer to knead the dough
then it may not move the
motor speed selector switch to
position 3.
6. Once the dough is finished
stirring batter then release the
player by pressing the driving
lever, then wash to clean
dough players

Single Line Diagram

The picture shows the electrical
circuit for the brand Philips
mixer type HR 1500 / A1.

Philips
type
HR 1500/A1

Source of electricity needed to run it is

the voltage AC 220 ~ 230 V at the
working frequency of 50-60 Hz. 170
watts of electrical power is equipped
capacitors and resistors. The capacitor
and resistor serves as a damper
frequency interference caused by the
motor when rotating mixer.

Mixer speed setting is done by moving

the position of the speed selector
switch (SW) between the position of
'0' to the position '3'.
The speed setting can be done with
SW, because the positions of the
speed indicated by SW related to
winding speed control and winding
auxiliary motors L1, L2 and L3 are
connected in series heading into the
brush first, into the winding rotor (LR),
exit to brush , go to the main winding
back the power source.

The value of resistance:

L1 is 24 ohm,
L2 is 20 ohm,
L3 is 14 ohms.
While the stator winding resistance
(L4) and the motor rotor (LR) are
each 17 ohms and 44 ohms.
