Authority, Ministry of Power, Government of India

The personnel engaged in the operation and maintenance of

the electrical plants, transmission and distribution systems
irrespective of the capacity of the power plant/ voltage level
of transmission/ distribution system shall have to undergo a
training of duration/ syllabi specified in CEA regulation.

In other words Engineers can only be considered for

employment in the power sector both in public and private
domain once they obtain such a certificate from a CEA
recognized training institute.
