Regio crusis

Posterior Compartment
Are primarily exors of the foot at the
ankle (plantar exion) and exors of the
toes
Are innervated by the tibial nerve
Are supplied by the posterior tibial artery (the popliteal
artery divides into the anterior and posterior tibial
arteries)

Anterior Compartment
Are primarily extensors of the foot at the ankle
(dorsiexion) and extensors of the toes
Are innervated by the deep bular nerve (the common
bular nerve divides into the supercial and deep
branches)
Are supplied by the anterior tibial artery

Lateral Compartment
Are primarily able to evert the foot, and
can weakly plantarex the foot at the
ankle
Are innervated by the supercial bular
nerve
Are supplied by the bular artery (a
branch of the posterior tibial artery)
