Examples of introductory topics included in the Nurses Continual
Professional Development classes are
- Overview of the NHS in the UK. (Legislation, policies, procedures,
identifying
services and partners.)
- Medical Nursing. (Admission process, Documentation, specialist
nurses / departments / support services etc.)
- Surgical nursing. (Admission process, documentation, pre and postoperative care, ICU / High dependency unit, discharge planning.)
- Also topics covering: Patient Handling, Palliative Care, Infection
Control, Geriatric Care, Occupational / Physiotherapy etc.
- The course will also include language development through a
range of topics and related cultural visits.
Culture trips may include, for example. Stratford, Oxford, Bath,
Stonehenge, Cotswolds Villages London, Windsor Castle. (Nearly any
specific request can be catered for.)
