Executive Trainee Programme
Executive Trainee Programme is a 9 month (6 months Training and 3
months Sub charge) duration training programme designed to groom
young talent from identified campuses across India.
The program provides focused training and capability building approach
in shaping careers at early stages and creating better futures every day.
During this period, the trainees are given exposure on functional and
cross-functional areas that will help them in building greater awareness
about not only their function but also about the business as a whole.
The ET program thrusts on the interface the trainees have with their
respective support network, which includes functional mentor, coach
Buddy and Functional LT Anchor, who are assigned to every trainee.
The role of the network is to focus on hiring the best talent and then
developing and grooming these trainees to become an all-round
professional.
Post 9 months training period, the trainee gets assigned as an
Executive in the respective role within the function.

Management Trainees
In order to create a pool of high caliber Managerial Talents, the Company inducts fresh
Management Graduates in different streams of Management from the premier Management
Institutes in the country. Management Trainees are taken in the Sales & Marketing, Finance,
Human Resources and Supply Chain areas.
Management Trainees are put through a 12-month long, cross-functional, multi-location
training program; after successful completion of the training they are absorbed in their
respective functional departments.
Finance & Control Trainees
The objective of the Finance and Control Trainee scheme is to get high caliber chartered
accountants and post graduates with specialization in finance from premier institutes, who
can take up critical roles in the company.
Finance & Control Trainees are put through a 12-month long, multi-location training program;
after successful completion of the training they are absorbed in their function across
locations basis business requirements.
Costing Trainees
In order to create a pool of specialized costing talent in the finance & controls function,
trainees with ICWA certification are hired.
These trainees are put through a stint of 12 months through various units and after
successful completion of their stints and absorbed in the finance & Controls division.
Technical Management Trainees
Technical Management Trainees are taken from reputed engineering institutes specializing in
Chemical, Electronics, Automation, Industrial Engineering etc.
The trainees undergo a 12 month long, on the job intensive training programme in Factories
& Head Office.

Technical Trainees
The objective of Technical Trainee scheme is to provide a pool of well-trained, high caliber
technical professionals who in the short term can take on supervisory responsibilities against
available positions in different Factories. The selection of Trainees is done from various Technical
institutes across the country.
The training program is for duration of 12 months. Post the satisfactory completion of training
period the trainees get confirmed against available positions based on business requirements.
Field Force Trainees
The purpose of this Scheme is to ensure a ready pool of trained Sales Personnel and Medical
Delegates to fill up vacancies which arise at our four regional offices. Sales personnel are
responsible for frontline sales and the medical delegates are involved in disseminating scientific
information to doctors pertaining to our products.
The Trainees are engaged for duration of 11 months for training. Post the satisfactory
completion of training period the trainees get confirmed against available positions based on
business requirements.
Summer /Autumn Trainees
In order to fulfill our corporate responsibility to the professional institutions, of providing
practical training to the students as part of their academic requirement and to undertake
important Business Projects, every year the Company takes Summer/Autumn Trainees from
premier management institutes of the country. Nestl handpicks top quality students from
premier management institutes across the country to undertake live projects in the field of
Human Resources, Sales & Marketing & Supply Chain.
The process also helps the Company in generating good will with the Premier Management
Institutes as well as pre-identifying certain candidates who may have Management Trainee
potential for future intake.

ITC Trainee Programs


AUT - Management Trainee Programme
Assistants Under Training, commonly known as AUTs are students of premier
engineering and management institutes who choose to pursue their careers
with ITC, straight after they graduate from their institution. AUTs are
inducted into the ITC system with the objective of nurturing and grooming
them to be the leaders of tomorrow. From the day an AUT joins ITC, the
Company ensures that necessary inputs are provided in terms of managerial
development, cross functional and cross business exposure and in-depth
functional exposure in order to develop domain expertise, to equip them
with the knowledge and skills required to perform their roles, as well as to
lay the foundation for their growth and development as business leaders.
AUTs undergo training for a period of one year after which they are
confirmed as Assistant Managers.
AUT Induction:
AUTs, after they join ITC, are taken through a one-week corporate induction
programme wherein various Business Heads introduce them to their
businesses. The induction programme is also aimed at facilitating a smooth
transition from campus to the corporate world as well as to provide an
opportunity to interact with business leaders. On the whole the programme
aims at giving an AUT an understanding of what defines ITC, how ITC works
and the lives ITC touches!!!

Once AUTs join their respective businesses, they go through a division and
function specific detailed induction programme which provides them a thorough
overview of the business model of the division, introduces them to various
functions within the business and gives them an extensively detailed insight into
their own function. The induction programme is supported by projects and stints
which help grasp the various nuances of the business and at the same time
contribute to the growth of the Company.
Management Campuses:
ITC recruits from premier management campuses across the country for its
Marketing, Human Resources, Supply Chain and EHS functions. The diversity in
ITCs businesses, superior brand building capabilities, unmatched supply chain,
experience in working in new and established businesses added to the large
employee base and operations spread across the length and breadth of the
country offer management AUTs a unique and unparalleled experience.
Technology Campuses:
Budding Engineers from IITs, select NITs join ITC and a world of latest technology,
state of the art machines is thrown open to them. With 18 factories spread over
the country ranging from Paper and Paperboards to Foods to Cigarettes, ITC is
beyond doubt an engineers paradise. Responsibilities begin early with exposure
to projects, production planning, product quality, product development, tracking

B-School
We offer a diverse array of opportunities and there are different roles that you will play when you
enter our organization. They are: Management Cadre:The Management Cadre comprises of MBA
graduates hired from top Management Institutions across the globe. This includes Global
Engagement Managers, Senior Management Trainees, Senior Management Trainees- Program
Managers, and Management Trainees.
Global Engagement Manager (GEM):GEM Program is a part of transformational journey that
emphasises on thought leadership. The role is conceptualized as an initiative to develop future
leaders. Hiring in this role is restricted to top Business schools across the globe.GEMs are mentored
in India and at various other Global Locations and are deployed into bothAssociate Business
Development and Associate Engagement Management roles.
Senior Management Trainee (SMT):The sole intention of recruiting Senior Management Trainees
in HCL is to breed and nurture leadership from within. When shown the right career path and
mentored adequately they are ready to take on new and exciting challenges of an ever-expanding
organization at a mid-management level initially and at the senior management level down the line.
They are hired to perform Sales, Presales, Delivery, Marketing, BSG, BMG and Domain Specialist
roles.
Management Trainee (MT):Management Trainees are MBA graduates hired to support projects in
various delivery, sales enabling, and support roles. They are hired to perform various roles in Project
Management (PMO), Business Analysis, and support functions. Management Trainees are covered
under a service agreement for a period of 15 months.
Summer and winter internship:At HCL, we run an Internship Program, through which we recruit
skilled lateral and fresh talent from institutes to perform various tasks for our global and regional
customers. The Internship Program aims at providing challenging opportunities to students pursuing
education from top B Schools to showcase their talent, engage in learning, and gain exposure of the
corporate world.
We offer summer and winter internship for students, which are:Summer Internship is an on the job
training on decided subjects and business lines for 8-12 weeks.
Winter Internship is mostly an off campus program where research papers are submitted on
predetermined subjects. This may also include writing white papers on various subjects.

E-School
Graduate Engineering Trainee:All engineers with an educational background in B. Tech. and M. Tech.
are termed as Graduate Engineering Trainees. Software Engineers are engineering graduates hired to
support projects in various technical functions across delivery projects. They are covered under a service
agreement for a period of 18 months.
Design:We hire candidates from leading design Institutes for the UxD team (User Experience Design) to
work on specific design-oriented projects.
Domain Specific Skills:We hire candidates for specific skill sets like M. E VLSI/ Hardware, Mechanical,
Biotechnology to work in core areas, which helps to start their career.
GraduateSoftware Trainee:Graduate Software Engineers are graduates from Science, Mathematics,
and Finance background hired to support projects in various delivery projects, corporate roles, and
technical functionalities. They are covered under a service agreement for a period of 24 months.
Graduate Trainee:Graduate trainees are graduates with a BA or BBA background hired for specific roles
like Project Management (PMO), Employee Engagement and other corporate teams.
Academic Trainee:At HCL, we run an Internship Program, through which we recruit MCA candidates from
institutes as academic trainees, to perform various tasks for our global and regional customers. Academic
trainees are provided on-the-job training on decided subjects and business lines for 8-12 weeks.
The goal of the E school hiring initiative is to give entry-level graduates an opportunity to work on
development projects that interest them. They work on the latest versions in emerging technologies, in
turn imbibe knowledge, and gain expertise in core areas such as VLSI and Mechanical. HCL rewards those
who display initiative, come up with innovative ideas, and demonstrate high skill levels and the urge to
