Why should I study

circuits?
What is circuit theory?
How does it relate to
the other areas of
technology or
engineering that I will
be studying or working
in after I graduate?

Why should I study circuit

theory?
This fundamental building block sets
out the basic principles and
underlying theoretical foundation for
all related technical subjects that go
with it.
A knowledge of circuit theory sets
the stage for studies in electronic
circuits, communication systems,
control systems, digital logic
systems, computer architecture,
networking, audio systems, medical
electronics, and so on.

What is an electric circuit?

An electric circuit is a system of interconnected
components such as resistors, capacitors,
inductors, voltage sources and so on

What is circuit theory?

circuit theory is that branch of science that
deals with the study of the laws, principles,
practices, mathematical relationships and
methods of analysis that are used to describe
the behavior of an electric circuit.

Goals
The goal of studying circuit theory is two-fold.
First, you study circuit theory to learn about basic
phenomenon such as voltage, current, power,
energy and the relationships between them as
well as acquire a working knowledge of the
electrical components themselves
Secondly, you study circuit analysis to learn
techniques of analysis, design and troubleshooting
so that you can apply these principles in practice.
Whether you are analyzing an existing circuit or
designing a new one, the same basic principles
apply. The difference is your goal.

Style of Teaching

Efforts made so far

Collected 10 sets of Old University

Questions
Collected more than 15 books for research
Prepared clear notes for 3 Units .

Teaching on screen as well as board

Solving Problems
Student Interaction
Seminars

Simple problems similar to class work.

Maximum 5 problems daily.
The problems for the next week will be given this
week itself for ease of the students.
It should be written in A4 sheet and must be
submitted in staff table before 8 am daily.
These sheets should be filed for checking and
nodues

Teaching methods based on how people learn

Students need to play an active part and be
intensively engaged in the learning process
Very basic and most important paper for you
Supplies you more grade points since the
credit is 4.
Exam paper will move to other department.

1. Think of something you are really

good at.
2. Now, in one or two words, describe
how you got to be good at that thing.
3. PRACTICE.

Daily Needs in class room

Cycle Test will be conducted every

week.
For Unit I, Unit II, Model Problems from
old University questions will be asked.
You should solve all the ten old
University questions before going for
university practicals.
