Career Development Ladder in Japan


In Japan, there is no national standard for the Ladder = It
depends on each hospital whether introduce the Ladder o
r not.
Japan Nursing Association published Standards for conti
nuing education Ver.2 and it says
a.Nursing career development is to design his/her career
according to his/her needs and life cycle and social need
s, and to make an effort to improve required developmen
t of competency to achieve the target by him/herself.
b.In addition, in case that he/she try to develop his/her c
areer in the organization, it is desirable that his/her care
er design would be in line with the organization objective
s and the organization supports his/her career developm
ent
