Overview

Branding for the Louisiana State Apprenticeship


program will consist of five key parts:
1. Promoting the Louisiana State Apprenticeship
Program as a Workforce Solution.
2. Engaging businesses to create lasting
partnerships with the apprenticeship program.
3.Identifying and educating the programs
target audience. ( job-seekers and employers)
4. Creating and maintaining a digital presence.
5. Evaluating and promoting program results.

Promoting the program as a


workforce solution

The Louisiana Apprenticeship program is


responsible for promoting successful outcomes
for business and job seeker customers such as:
Benefits for Workers

Increased skills
Higher wages
Industry recognized credentials
Career advancement

Benefits for Businesses


Highly skilled employees trained to the specifications of a
business or industry
Low turnover rates
High productivity

Building Apprenticeship
Partnerships

Collaboration between businesses, educational


institutions and the La. State Apprenticeship
program will determine the success of the
program.
Partners can contribute by :
Identifying the skills and knowledge that an apprentice
needs.
Hiring new workers to be apprentices
Providing on-the-job training
Identifying experienced mentors to work with apprentices
Providing partnerships with community colleges as well as
universities.

need a website that details information that only
focuses on the program.

Digital User Engagement


Social Media outlets are the fastest way to reach a
mass audience with information about the
apprenticeship program.
Also, social media creates a two-way conversation
which allows responses to questions as well as
feedback on the program.

Evaluating Program
Results
The Department of Labor has developed a model
in which workforce agencies can track and
promote the apprenticeship programs results.
