When choosing the colour for your genre, you have to be careful
and very considerate when doing this. This is because you need to
make sure that the colours you choose go with your genre and it
goes with the mood that is being created. This is because you
dont want to confuse your audience through choice of colour and
you want the colour to be at the right level so that it is easy to
read the text.
Similar to the colour, the fonts need to be appropriate for the
genre to avoid confusion for the audience. They also need to be in
the right style or shape so that they are easy to read. For
example, for a masthead you will need a font that is thick,
standard and no style so that it can make a great communication
with the audience and has a sense of communication.

You can tell that this is a
new font because of how it
is easy and straight
forward to read. Unlike the
old font, this type of text
has no style to it and it is
more of a modern day type
of text. I would need to use
this type of font or similar
for my magazine because
it will prevent my audience
from getting confused
when reading the text.

These are some of the fonts
that I think would be
appropriate to use:
I think that these fonts are
appropriate for a music
because they are quite thick
and bold, they stand out and
so this makes it clear and easy
for the audience to read.
However, these are also like
the typical fonts that you will
find on a Magazine front cover
because the companies want
the audience to be able to read
it straight away.

Similar to fonts, colour also creates meaning as it can give an idea of what
genre the magazine is or what the target audience is. This is because in some
genres, there are certain colours that you have to show and the also have to
match the atmosphere and the preferences for the target audience of your
chosen genre. However, failure to do so can lead to confusion, for example, in
hard rock music, the audience would be expecting dark colours such as black
but if you show colours such pick, it will cause confusion and you can potentially
lose your audience from and your magazine would not be a success.
For my chosen genre- R&B, I am thinking of using the colours white, black and
Red: is associated with energy, war, danger,
red.
