St. Xavier University in 2000 in
Curriculum and Instruction.
Moved here 9 years ago from
Chicago, where I taught 8th grade
for many years, and I have been
teaching in Blue Valley for 7 years.

Trey is a
freshman at BVW
and he is 15.
Taylor is a 7th
grader at LKM
and is 13.
Kyra is a 4th
grader at LKE and
is 10.
Nate is a 2nd

Class novels

the morning and
reading class will be
in the afternoon.

Late Work Policy


O Work is expected to be turned in on time. In

order to receive full credit, work must be


submitted on the due date during class.
O Students will have 24 hours from the original

due date to turn in work to be graded for a


maximum score of 70%.
O Work received after 24 hours will not receive

credit.
This policy is adopted by the entire 8 th grade.

PSM Plagiarism Policy


The Prairie Star Middle School plagiarism
expectations are consistent with the Blue
Valley High School plagiarism policy.

Copying of another persons ideas and/or


works, whether intentional or not, in whole
or in part, from a print or nonprint source,
and using those ideas or works as ones
own, whether for written, visual, or spoken
assignments/products.

Examples:
- Wordforword or imageforimage
copying of material without quotation
marks and/or attribution.
- Copying computer programs, disks,
classroom tests, homework, reports
- Surrendering or distributing ones work
for anothers use.
- Deliberate and/or consistent lack of
proper documentation and citation in a
project or paper.
- Intext documentation that is not
reflected in a Works Cited page.
