performance (Test Scores)
- Student performance is 50% of a
teachers score which causes
teachers to teach to the test

Review
After interviewing my principal, I feel the best way to get evaluated out of these
three is the OPES. My principal made some interesting points. He told me how the
system works for him. He mentioned it acts as a portfolio for him. He can upload
PD, data and community engagement pieces (such as parents emails and events)
to his evaluation. His evaluator can see it and it acts almost as brownie points. I
think this is a great idea because its not only helping the evaluator see the
principal's involvement as a whole and not only as a snapshot. I feel the current
evaluation system I am in (OTES) is similar to OPES but I feel it lack the portfolio
side. Although there is nothing wrong with the coaches evaluation system, it is not
objective enough to hold in the public school setting and tries to address coaching
as a whole but is to vauge.
