Camber adjustment:
Toe adjustments:
Jack up the car and make
changes to the toe-control links (at the rear
axle) or to the tie rods (for the front axle
[Fig.4]). If your car has toe-control links,
adjustments are similar to those for eccentric
camber adjustment. Adjusting toe at the front
axle requires loosening the tie-rod locknut and
then spinning the tie rod to change its length.
Remember that if your toe spec calls for an
inch of toe-in, you only want to add a half-inch
per side. Tighten any fasteners and lower the
car. Roll the car back and forth and measure
toe. If it is within spec, torque the eccentric
nut or tie-rod locknut (with the car on the
ground) and then redo this step on the other
side of the car. If not, start this step over.
Return to step three, now starting with the
other axle. If you have to repeat this step,
remember to check toe and camber again.
Double-checkthe tightness of all the bolts
and nuts you touched. Test the alignment on
the track.

Removal
Hoist vehicle and remove front wheel.
Remove brake flexible hose joint bolt (1)
from caliper (2). As this will allow fluid to
flow out of hose (3), have a container
ready beforehand
Installation
Install caliper to caliper carrier.
Torque caliper pin bolts to specification.
Fuel pump
As
pre
schedule
of
preventive
maintenance, the engine oil of the car
should be changed on regular basis.
Fire hazard
Fire hazard presents the next primary danger to
an area where dust is not collected and
disposed of. Install a smoke alarm and fire
extinguisher. Anywhere dust has settled, a fire
path is presented from the spark or flame
source to anything combustible within the shop.
Uncontrolled and uncollected, airborne dust
particles settle and build up on any exposed
area or item in the work area. In a studio
workshop, where all aspects of carving are dealt
with many situations are presented wherein a
spark is generated.
A few worthy of consideration are:
Electrical motors and any heat or spark
generating electrical appliances.
Switches, outlets, and light bulbs.
Sparks generated from grinding metal when
sharpening tools.
Assembling metal armatures, bird legs and
supports with soldering iron or torch.
Heating elements.
Torches used for soldering and bit cleaning.
Improperly stored finishes.
Spontaneous combustion from improperly
discarded or un-cared for finish rags, brushes,
wipes.
Tobacco smoker.
All floor machinery and portable hand tools
should be inspected and kept in safe working
order. Every item should have a proper place
for storage and use, with consideration given
long beforehand to how its use will affect
surrounding areas.
Only use a tool if it is in good condition. Be
certain the switch operates properly.
Do not leave any machine unattended with
the power on.
Keep a well-stocked basic First-Aid Kit in your
shop where it can be reached easily. Always
replace what you use as soon as possible.
Carvers should always be up to date on their
tetanus shots.
Equip first aid kit with:
(1)A variety of bandages (2) Antiseptic
ointment (3) Cotton swabs
(4)A first-aid handbook (5) First-aid tape
