Managing iTouch Controller Schedules

Limitations of the iTouch Controller Scheduling System

Individual cooling and heating setpoints are not possible with iTouch Controller therefore
we must program seasonal schedules and ask the owner to manually change the
schedule with the change of the season.
A fixed differential setting is unable to accommodate an occupied and unoccupied
approach to programming the iTouch Controller when automatic changeover is expected.

Limitations of the iTouch Controller Scheduling System

The iTouch Controller provides a temperature limit feature suitable for preventing the
overheating or freezing of the spaces under control. The range of the temperature limit
feature inhibits its use for set-up and set-back functionality.

iTouch Controllers Automatic Change-Over Feature
Indoor unit will change from cooling to heating or vice versa when a certain
temperature is reached.
Some terminology:
Differential: user selected temperature difference to initiate a mode change
from current setpoint
Different changeover methods

Fixed Operating Average

OFF

Fixed : One indoor decides the changeover, even if that unit is off.
Operating : One indoor unit is the reference unit, but only if the unit is ON :
If the unit is OFF, the next unit on the list (that is ON) becomes the reference.
Average : Several indoor units are used to calculate an average unit that is used as reference.

Its not possible to register the same indoor unit to
multiple room temperature limit control groups
Upper limit: 90F to 122F in 1F units
Lower limit: 36F to 60C in 1F units

The extended range of the upper and lower temperature limit function make this a
relatively poor substitute for a true set-back and set-up control scheme
