LUNCHTIME, GUIDANCE & NURSING SERVICES
Open lunch is a privilege that we want you to have - maintain good attendance and
stay strong academically. Stickers on your ID will designate your lunch time as well
as open lunch.

Cooper has wonderful guidance counselors who are here to help you. Please make
an appointment in the guidance office if needed.

Students must have a pass from a teacher to see the nurse. Over the counter
medications may be administered ONLY with the physicians order and signature of
parent/guardian. 18 years and older physician's order only.

All students must have their ID with them at all times.


TARDY POLICY
Expect to be in every class on time and ready to
learn. If you are late for any reason, go directly to
class and enter quietly.
2 tardies in one day = lunch detention/bag lunch in
the cafeteria. Your dean will notify you. Missed
lunch detention = full day BACK ON TRACK
Tardy two times a day two times in a week = full
day in BACK ON TRACK/bag lunch
NON-NEGOTIABLES
Behavior that stops learning, is dangerous or overtly
disrespectful is a NO everyday at Cooper High School

Opting out of learning Not an option!


Not going to class on time
Phones or music devices during class
Active ignoring of reasonable adult directions
Comments to adults such asStop talkin to me & Get out of my
face
Play Fighting/Fighting/Assault
Gang-like behavior
Not following CHS dress code policy
Swearing at an adult
Harassing & offensive language or actions directed toward others
COOPER DRESS CODE

Wear clothes that are free of gang, alcohol or drug


references, offensive images and profanity
Save extremely tight, torn and revealing clothing
for non-school times
All non-religious headwear is to be worn before
7:20 am and after 2:10 pm
No sagging, low cut tops or strapless tops/dresses
COOPER STUDENT IDs
Students need to carry their Cooper ID at all times

Students will use their ID for:

Lunch period designation

Open Lunch you must have it in your possession to leave


school property

Media Services
Identification for school functions
All COOPER STUDENTS
Listen and respond to any adult staff member

It is an expectation that you follow any reasonable


request an adult asks you at anytime

Always respond positively to our police officers.


They will always assist you when possible. Do what
they ask you to do.

full week of festivities
