Wall thickness scanning with lift-off
or insulation!

No lift-off = straightforward UT
inspection
Coating and wrapping
But liftoff is often a constraint:
Non-metallic pipe protection
External corrosion product
Corrosion under insulation
(CUI) CUI
Marine growth Corrosion scab

Pulsed Eddy Current

Pulsed eddy current (PEC) is an advanced

electromagnetic inspection technology used
indetecting flaws and corrosion in ferrous
materials typically hidden under layers of
coating, fireproofing, or insulation.

Inspection Results and Reporting

The result of the PEC inspection image will be recorded

at the time of inspection.

The data for measurement on carbon steel will be

compared based on minimum and maximum wall
thickness. Any reduction / abnormality in the thickness
will be recorded and include in the reporting
