INTRODUCTION
This project was conducted to apply GIS approach for security

awareness. In this project, spatial data are representing by 5 houses.

The example of collected data are name, ages, address, number of

household, type of security features in each house and other related

information. This project was conducted in order to enhance and

improve the management and updating of security and safety data

about Kg Jaya, Slim River, Perak.

OBJECTIVES

TO DETECT THE SHORTEST PATH TO THE CRIME LOCATION

TO IMPROVE THE HOUSES SAFETY FEATURES IN KAMPUNG JAYA
TO UPGRADE THE SAFETY FEATURES AT DARK AREA/ STREETS
STUDY AREA

Village : Kg. Guar Gajah, Arau, Perlis.

Total of Population : 900 people

Major Activities : Agriculture

Target User : JKKK, Penghulu, Villagers

LIMITATION OF WORKS
Scope of work

The study area was depend to our hometown, which easier to do survey and collect the
data required during this project

Time

The given time is within three weeks. In this study, design planning takes one days, data
collection for two days, design process took about eight days and another eight days for
result, discussion and conclusion includes report preparation.

Cost

The cost of expenses during this project during data collection such as petrol and self-
expenses. RM 10 for person each day for self-expenses and RM 4 petrol cost for each
motorcycle
Conlusion

Based on analysis, the JKKK/Penghulu can :

Detect the shortest path to the crime location

Improve the houses safety features in kampung jaya
Upgrade the safety features at dark area/ streets
