Extended Boundary Method

There are a lot of methods proposed for the computation of

reflection and transmission coefficients. Out of those
extended boundary condition method deals with the surface
currents, however, it is very efficient for computational
perspective. This approach is compatible for sensitivity
analysis, in addition, to evaluate the effect of a changes in one
layer without repeating the entire computation. Therefore, It
is used to solve the multilayer problems extensively .

Rough Surface

Surface roughness often shortened to roughness, it

is a component of surface texture. It is quantified by
the deviation in the direction of the normal vector of
a real surface from its ideal form. If these deviations
are large, the surface is rough; if these are small, the
surface is smooth.
