Kitting general
Definition:
Grouping together
components into a kit
Examples:
Automotive: Spare parts or accessories are often sold as a kit
(hifi-set with radio and speakers)
Furnitures which must be assembled by the customer are kits
Retail:
- Shirts and ties that are always sold together must be kitted
- gift sets (soap, shower gel and shampoo).
3) Processing in EWM
A VAS-oder is NOT mandatory
the kits can be created during the picking process (with or w/o storage control).
The kits are indicated only by a dummy-stock-item.
The components are posted goods issue.
It is not possible to change the correlation between kit and component.
