School Demographics
Winship School serves 330 students in grades 6-8.
70% of our students are socioeconomically
disadvantaged
22% of our students have disabilities
Over 50% of our students are NOT identified as
white
Problem being
addressed
Winship School currently has the highest suspension rate in
the Eureka City School district

A majority of our suspensions are because of violence and
bullying among peers.
Parental, Staff and other community member are aware there
is a bullying problem Winship, and want the issue resolved.

Ambassador Program
Goal of program is to helps
motivate and enable
bystanders to stand up to
antisocial behaviors.
The grant will fund:
program trainings for staff
and students
stipend for Mentors of the
program to conduct weekly
meetings
