Task-motivated
Relationship-motivated
Least-preferred coworker (LPC) which
measures whether a person is task or
relationship oriented.
Contingency Approach
The elements of the situation:
Leader-member relations the degree
of confidence, trust, and respect
subordinates have in their leader.
Task structure the degree to which job
assignments were formalized and
procedures.
Position power - the degree of influence
a leader had over power-based activities

comes late to work.

conversing with the employee about the reasons
why he is late to work and after that choosing the
most effective and appropriate plan of action.
