Industrial Arts
Is that phase of education which
offers individuals an insight into our
industrial society through laboratory-
classroom experiences.
It provides experiences that develop
basic skills and knowledge common
to many occupations and
professions.
Industrial Arts is a study of the
changes made by man in the form of
materials to increase their value, and
of the problems of life related to
these changes.

Industrial Arts in junior high school
level should be able to perform a
worth while service to all students.

Industrial Arts program at the junior


high school level should help prepare
students for secondary vocational-
technical programs.
Various arrangements and scheduling for
junior high school programs exist and the
most suitable to the local situation should
be used.

The most valuable place for strong


industrial arts programs is in the junior
high school. It is at this level that industrial
arts in many states is a required course.

Senior High School (IA)
The major concern of this article is at
the senior high school level. If
available, an elementary industrial
arts program is valuable to all
students. Industrial arts programs
are required in many junior high
schools and served worthwhile
purpose.
Three Programs be made available
for the students:
1. Academic and General Programs
2. Cluster Programs
3. Occupational Preparation Program
