Internal
Introduction
This research will study about on how mixture of surfactant
and polymer will act as foam stabilizer in enhanced oil
recovery process.
Usually we only extract approximately about range 20% to
30% depending on the techniques that we used to extract
the oil.
Due to the reservoir has low recovery factor or have low
macroscopic sweep efficiency, in some cases, we will
probably have got less than 20% of oil recovery.

Internal
Problem Statement
Most of the oil fields in Malaysia have been producing for more than 20 years

Oil recovered is approximately 30% only.

Foam helps in reducing gas mobility that has contributed to channeling

Gravity override due to gas low density.

The deterioration and degeneration of foams upon meeting

With hydrocarbon and

the high temperature of the reservoir for about 90 oC.

Literature review

The polymeric surfactants are more suited than conventional surfactant for
producing more stable foam in reservoirs.
