In 2009, Sophie Thibaut was

the only Projet Montral
candidate to be elected in the
SouthWest borough and she did
so with a mere $500 campaign
budget. In 2014, she was
reelected to a second term with
an overwhelming 2000 vote
lead.
Through this report, I hope you will
see how tirelessly Ive worked in order Sophie Thibaut
to obtain concrete results for the
Southwest over the last four years. Results for the

It is with these strong qualities that
Sophie Thibaut has been involved in
the Southwest for decades,
whether as a citizen, as a community
organizer or as borough councillor.
Sophie Thibaut is known for her
core values and for having
produced tangible results over the
course of her two mandates.
For me, there is little difference between
working in the community and in politics.
My role is to be a spokesperson, to put the
concerns of my fellow citizens at the heart
of political priorities. It is to truly change
my neighbourhood, and the lives of
people.

Originally from France, a social worker
by training and mother of a wonderful
daughter, Sophie Thibaut moved here
14 years ago and was instantly
attracted to the Southwest because of
its social and cultural diversity, its
proud history of social activism, and
its fierce community spirit.
