Dokter harus menggunakan pertimbangan klinis ketika
melengkapi SMPK tersebut.
Sistem otomatis tidak memasukkan daftar atau saran-
saran lain untuk memandu pembuat sertifikat sebagai
pembahasan rentang diagnosis yang diperlukan dan
karenanya mengakibatkan efek balik pada ketepatan
dan kegunaan laporan.*

Cara mengisi Sertifikat Sebab Kematian
I. (a) Penyebab langsung kematian
(b) Penyebab antara dari (a)
(c) penyebab antara dari (b)
(d) Penyebab dasar dari (c) (UCOD)

(UCOD = Underlying cause of death)

Tidak semua kode dalam ICD-10 dapat digunakan untuk

mengisi (d) (UCOD). Contoh: di antaranya: kode ber *.
(Jumlah kode ber * dapat dilihat di ICD-10 Vol. 2.
(Jumlah 236 kode yang tidak dibenarkan sebagai sebab
kematian
sudah tercantum di Appendices 7, ICD-10 Vo. 2, 2004 - 2010)
 MORTALITY CODING (ATURAN ICD-10)

GENERAL PRINCIPLE:
Aturan umum menentukan, bahwa apabila ada lebih
dari satu kondisi direkam pada butir (I) sertifikat
kematian, maka kondisi yang direkam di baris paling
bawah ditentukan sebagai penyakit penyebab
kematian (UCOD).
Contoh: I. (a) Gagal hati
(b) Obstruksi saluran empedu
(c) Icteric
(d) Kanker pankreas

Maka pilih: Kanker Pankreas sebagai penyakit

penyebab kematian.
