Data Tab XP

We use data tab for the large amount of data. It


is useful to import data by connecting with the
server, and we can import data automatically
from web, MS Access etc. And Sort & filter are
very helpful options we have in excel, it makes
easy to read vast data.

Adavance Filter XP

Advanced filter is used to filter a data set,


depending on user-defined criteria, that can
be applied to several columns of data
simultaneously.

against the item List Range:
Now you select the headers
and the criteria rows which

If you do not wish to see
duplicate records you can
click on the check box

Steps Using Data Table XP

Select the data table range.


Click the Data tab. Choose Table from the Data
menu.
Choose Data table from the What-If Analysis
option in the Data Tools group.
In the resulting dialog box, enter the input cell, in
the Column Input Cell .This is the input value Excel
will change for each row in the data table.
Click OK and format the rest of the table as
necessary.

EXCEL SOLVER XP

Excel solver is a computer programme for solving


problems by enabling a target cell to achieve some goal. It
comes with Microsoft Excel as an Add In.

Click on Tools to see if Solver is present. If not, click on

Add-Ins in the Tools menu and select the Solver Add-In.

Excel was developed for Microsoft by Frontline Systems.

How to enable solver XP

1. Click the File tab, click Options, and then


click the Add-ins category.

2. In the Manage box, click Excel Add-ins, and


then click Go.

3. In the Add-ins available box, select


the Solver Add-in check box. If you don't see
this name in the list, click the Browse... button
and navigate to the folder containing
Solver.xlam. Then click OK.

4. Now on the Data tab, in the Analysis group,


you should see the Solver command.
