 CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION
 INTRODUCTION
One kind of walking aids which can be used by older
people, people with disabilities also serves as an aid in
the hospital.
Lighter higher as against the existing tools in the
market.
Has a seat, wheel and brake system.
Easy to carry anywhere because it can be folded.
 PROBLEM STATEMENT
The existing walking frame is heavy.
Height can not be adjusted according to user.
The existing walking frame just to help users
wlking and prevent users from falling but no
place to rest.
 OBJECTIVE
Design an appropriate walking aid for the
elderly and disable to facilitate their progress.
Design walking aid that is easy to carry to
anywhere.
To build up walking aid that easy to use and
user friendly.
 SCOPE OF PROJECT
This walking aids made up from hollow iron rod.
Only one user can use this easy walking aid.
 LIMITATION
The fabric basket can only accommodate 20 kg.
Project can not be used in areas that are not
flat.
This project is only prototype.
Suitable for all type of cars.

LITERATURE REVIEW
Walking stick
A walking stick is a device used by many people to facilitate
balancing while walking.
Come in many shapes and sizes, and can be sought by
collectors.
Used by people with disabilities as a crutch.
Walking frame
tool for disabled or elderly people who need additional
support to maintain balance or stability while walking.
has four feet to support the walking frame.
Crutch
a mobility aid used to counter a mobility impairment or an injury
that limits walking ability.
A staff or support used by the physically injured or disabled as an
aid in walking, usually designed to fit under the armpit and often
used in pairs.
There are many type of crutches. Example, forearm, underarm,
platform, and leg support.
Wheel chair
Is a chair with wheels, designed to be a replacement for walking.
Comes in variations where it is propelled by motors or by the seated occupant
turning the rear wheels by hand.
Often there are handles behind the seat for someone else to do the pushing.
Used by people for whom walking is difficult or impossible due to illness
(physiological or physical), injury, or disability.
People with both sitting and walking disability often need to use a wheelbench.
Stroller
Strollers which are used for the small child up to about
three years old in a sitting position facing forward.
 CHAPTER 3

METHODOLOGY
 IDEA AND CONCEPT
After making observation, there is some diffulculty face by
user such as the existing walking frame is heavy, the
existing walking frame just to help users from falling but no
place to rest and height can not be adjusted according to
user.
After looking the problem face by user, we design the Easy
Walking Aid.

Overall, 'Easy Walking Aid' managed to achieve its set
objectives.
Objective that has been achieved is to design an
appropriate walking aid for the elderly and disable to
facilitate their progress,design walking aid that is easy to
carry to anywhere and to build up walking aid that easy to
use and user friendly.
As a conclusion, this Easy Walking Aid totally can be used.
 RECOMMENDATION
There are some things that have been recommended to
improve and upgrade the project.

First of all tests conducted during this project, the

accuracy of the project design should be suitable.
Selection of a safe must be a priority in order to choose a
quality steel and lightweight.
