 Guardian ad Litems Role in the
Advocacy Project
Guardian ad Litem(GAL) advocates for abused and neglected children.
GAL needs more volunteers to cover the cases that are unassigned, and the
children have no one specifically advocating for their best interests.
Promoting GALs role and mission to our representatives may help get more
support for GAL.
GAL supervisors have voiced that adding another paid position worker to take
on 70-100 cases as they have would cover almost a third of the unassigned
cases.
Hopefully our Representatives can help GAL with a grant or extra money to
get the necessary help to advocate for these abused and neglect children who
dont have an advocate.
