Plants are no stranger to all of us, we live in need of plants, either for consumption or as a
counterweight to the earth, for without the plants of this earth will be very hot. One part of the
plant is a leaf, where the leafs are able to photosynthesize and will produce their own food for the
plant. Therefore, sunlight is needed in helping the process of photosynthesis. In addition it also
needs the presence of chlorophyll, carbon dioxide and also water (Iserep, 1993).
LEAF
1. One of the plant organs growing
from twigs
2. is green because it contains
chlorophyll and serves as a catcher
of energy from sunlight for
photosynthesis
3. the obligate autotrophic organism,
having to supply its own energy
needs through the conversion of
sunlight into chemical energy.
Perfect Leaf Structure
Leaf midrib
put the leafs on the stem.
Petiole
connect the midrib or stem with the
leaf blade.
Leaf blade is the most important part of
most leaves because this is where the
main function of the leaf as the organ
of photosynthetic leaves the most
dominant work.

In observation of plants, the leaves are
The most easily observed part of the plant, because it is
located on the top so easily reached by the eyes of the
observer
Has variety of shapes or colors
Is the core of the growth and development of plant
because in it happen the process of photosynthesis
In plants there are two types of leaves are compound and
single leaf wich when the leaf is taken for the observation
sample it will not disturb other leaf work activities
