Rule of the preposition:
1. used to make the relationship between
words in the sentence to be true.
2. these words must be followed by noun.

1. Preposition Time
At - Preposition time is used to discuss time hours,
holidays and festivals and other special times
including, "at night."
In - Preposition time is used to discuss month,
season, year, century, general time in days and
long periods of time such as, "in the past."
On - Preposition time is used to discuss special days
of the week or parts of days of the week, special
dates and special days like, "on New Year's Day."

Prepositional phrases are a collection of words
containing prepositions. It must be remembered that
the preposition is a word that indicates the
relationship between the various elements in the
sentence.

Preposition + subject modifier + Noun, Pronoun, or
Gerund
Preposition always followed by object
The prepositional phrase may act as an adverb or
adjective. When used as an adjective, the
preposition changes the noun and pronoun-as the
adjective does.
