 1. MSISDN – Mobile Subscriber International ISDN/PSTN

 MSISDN is a number uniquely identifying a subscription in
a GSM or UMTS mobile network. It is made up of:

CC NDC SN
National (significant)
Mobile number
Mobile station international
ISDN number
IMSI

 2. IMSI - International Mobile Subscriber Identity


 IMSI is a unique number which identifies the user in PLMN,
it is made up of 15 bits:
Not more than 15 digits

MCC = Mobile Country Code


MNC = Mobile Network Code
MSIN = Mobile Subscriber Identification Number
MSRN

 3. MSRN – Mobile Subscriber Roaming Number


 MSRN is assigned to the user when it is called, this number
is assigned by VLR temporarily on the request of HLR for
the usage of route selection. This number should be
released after the call connection.。
 Structure: MSC number + 000~899
HON

 4. HON - Handover-Number
 HON is used for the route selection when handover among
different offices , it is assigned by target MSC/VLR for the
mobile user temporarily.
 Structure: MSC number + 900~999
TMSI

 5. TMSI - Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity


 TMSI is assigned to the user for security purpose

by VLR, it is only used locally .

 6. These are used in No.7 as GT number

IMEI

 8. IMEI - International Mobile Equipment Identity


 IMEI is a number which identify the mobile equipment
uniquely. It is a 15 bit decimal number, the structure is :

TAC+FAC+SNR+SP
TAC=Type Allocation Code , assigned by Europe type Allocation
Center, 6 bits.
FAC=Final Assembly Code , identifies the company, 2 bits
SNR=Serial Number ,assigned by the company, 6 bits
SP= for further use. 1 bit.
