 To arrange for the in-service training and
orientation of teachers, administrators and
inspecting officers dealing with the
elementary ,secondary and higher
secondary education in state.
 To arrange for the in-service training
of teacher educators working in the
TTI
 To provide extension services to
teachers training institutions at all the
level in the state.
 To develop and implement new
educational techniques and
methodologies
 To prescribe curricula and textbook
for the school and TTI at the pre-
  To produce ,text books, work books
teachers handbook educational CDs
,softwares etc needed for students and
teachers from Std I to XII ,following the
state syllabi .
 To function at a controlling authority
essentially connection with the academic
aspects of elementary teachers education.
 To produce instructional material for the
use of the teachers and teacher-
educators at the secondary and higher
secondary education levels.
 To plan and implant educational projects
for enhancing the quality of school
education and elementary teacher
education.
 To function as a modal agency for the
implementation and monitoring of national
level educational projects such as DPEP
MLL SSA etc.
 To under take research studies educational
survey conduct pilot- studies , carry out
action research etc in the field of school
education.
