Introduction
Volume - The person that discovered volume was
a man named Archimedes. Archimedes did measure
the volume of things but the eureka moment was
maybe due to his original discovery [concerning
buoyancy], not to sitting in the bathtub and then
running through the streets of Syracuse naked.

Integrals - The principles of integration were

formulated independently by Isaac Newton and
Gottfried Leibniz in the late 17th century, who
thought of the integral as an infinite sum of
rectangles of infinitesimal width.
