Unit 2:

Technology and its effects


 Tenth grade
 30 students (20 Boys and 10 girls)
 95% vulnerability – Puerto Montt
 A2 level of English
 They are not interested in the subject
 1 student with Asperger
 1 student with cognitive learning disability
(Reading and listening comprehension)
 4 students with ADD (no diagnosis)
 1 student is very quiet and anti-social
 1 student who is a negative leader
 1 student who loves playing video games
 Objective: By the end of the class the students will be able to create a web page
where they must use the vocabulary seen in previous classes.

 Difficulties: - They students don’t know the vocabulary


- They don’t want to work alone or in pairs
- They have difficulties with the content
- They have difficulties with the instructions
- They don’t want to work in the task

 Assessment: - Peer assessment: Their classmates will vote for


the best webpage using a survey
-Formal assessment: The teacher will assess
each poster in order to have a mark.
Introduce the topic (brainstorm)

 They will choose their groups
 Instructions: Orally, written and visual: “You are in a webpage
competition and you will design a social web page. You will create the
layout of the page and must include: Pictures, chat, profile, search
button, logo, web address, icons, about, contact me, menu bar. You
can include more vocabulary. You must include a brief description of the
webpage too.”
 Monitor the activity

you want as well as other artistic projects and follow your favorite artists.
